Catch on the latest updates and insights about the Assemblr ecosystem, immersive technology, and EdTech industry—all in one site.
Being an all-rounded, digitally-savvy, and passionate teacher—all at the same time—is not for everyone. However, Onasis Meyta Purbawati—mostly known as Meyta, managed to keep those things around her.
Although Meyta already joined the Assemblr Certified Educator (ACE) community back in 2021, her growth has just spiked in the past couple of months. Looking back, she’s grateful that she’s known this community from a teacher’s webinar she joined.

It’s because, says Meyta, the ACE community is her sweet spot after looking for the matching community for the past few years. Yes, she’s been diving into a few communities before, but nothing feels like home with the ACE community.
“I think ACE is very different. We bond very closely with each other since we have a monthly meetup, and we’re guided by the community leader from Assemblr who actively greets us every day. I feel appreciated here.”
An Inventor-badge, she manages to balance between her activities in the community, growing her skills, and doing her main routines as a science teacher at SMPS Integral Luqman Al-Hakim, Balikpapan, Indonesia.
Thanks to her resilience in the community, Meyta grows her capabilities to create immersive learning experiences with Assemblr EDU even further.
“My students are positively motivated to keep on learning and creating creative stuff. Now they can learn abstract concepts much more interestingly,” Meyta continues.
From time to time, Meyta keeps on sharing what she’s learned not only to her students, but also to her colleagues. Having her own webinars is one of her go-to sharing solutions.
Held for her colleagues in and outside of her school, Meyta hosts her own webinar about digital device introductions to support learning activities—which was targeted for kindergarten, elementary, middle, and even high school teachers.
“Alhamdulillah, it doesn’t stop there. After the webinars, I began to create augmented reality (AR) crash courses for teachers as well, which were intended for those webinar participants.”
Although some people, especially teachers in her school, still find AR an amusing concept, Meyta never gave up to share the power it holds for everyone.
An interesting example is coming from her colleagues in the school—right when she proposed her idea to create AR-powered souvenirs for her students’ graduation.
At first, all the teachers didn't get anything about the idea. However, after all, she still prepared the video link as well as the AR projects to be put into the custom marker—be it in the form of cards or papers.
Eventually, everyone—including the alumni and teachers—was fascinated by her ideas about the graduation souvenir.
Getting certified from the ACE community itself is not enough for Meyta. Lately, she joined the CS50 certification by Harvard University—which is a 6-month computer science course to increase teachers’ digital competence.
Meyta further shares, “We’re required to think computational and be able to solve the challenges, as well as maintaining our communication and creativity.”
According to Meyta, it’s not only teachers who go crazy for it. Even all the aspiring and prestigious programmers dream of having this certification. Knowing that Meyta could be one of them is certainly a wonderful achievement for her.
All in all, every single hard work that Meyta did actually paid off. That's why we believe the title of "ACE of the Month" would be a great fit for her this November. Our chit-chat went well, and when we asked her about tips for other ACE teachers, she didn't stop herself.
“I believe it’s crucial for you to maintain your communication skills. Make sure to keep on learning, creating, and sharing your ideas with other teachers. It’s gonna be worth it in the end!”
