As our parents told us, good manners take you places. On top of that, they bring you friends you never expected! That’s why, it’s always nice to learn about politeness and proper etiquette ever since the earliest childhood. And for our younger fellows, it’s even better to learn it from an enjoyable reading experience.
This is what inspired Amanda Mita to start her latest project, The Adventure of Kinci & Baya. We were glad to be introduced to her, who has been writing this children book since few months ago.
As the title suggests, the book tells a tale about a rabbit named Kinci and a crocodile named Baya. It's unlikely for a little rabbit to befriend a crocodile, but little Kinci is lucky enough to know one thing or two about being polite! And so Kinci’s unexpected story began.
We took our part by helping Mita illustrate and create an augmented reality book, so the characters could come to life as she tells her stories. By turning the pages into AR markers, we can find interactive surprises easily as we scan the book with Assemblr.
You can see Kinci jumping happily or Baya chilling right on top of the pages as we read the book. The best part? We could even dance with them at the end of the story!
On 27 January 2019, we had a lot of fun with kids when Mita teamed up with Pustakalana Children's Library to hold the first storytelling session for The Adventure of Kinci & Baya. It was met with unexpected enthusiasm! The kids even danced way more energetically than Baya himself.
The Adventure of Kinci & Baya is still in its latest stage of development, however you can already access the AR book content by checking out @kincibaya in our Exclusive Content on Assemblr app.
