Upon the release of the latest Interactivity’s Animation feature, the next question that comes from your mind might be, “How can I use it?”
You might’ve gotten the idea from our previous article, but this time, we want to take it a step further and dive into the steps.
So, here it is. Here’s how to play animation on your object, using our Interactivity feature.
1. Open Assemblr Studio on your web browser.
2. Choose whether you want to create the project from scratch or open the existing ones.
3. Decorate the project with objects included in the Editor.
4. Find the 3D objects from Assemblr 3D library which consist of more than one animation. You can find it in objects from the Knight bundle, for example.
Another option is to import 3D objects that have more than one animation into Assemblr Studio. To do so, you can find the objects in the 3D marketplace, choose the 3D Objects menu > Your 3D > Import 3D, and that’s it.
5. Once you’re done, click on an object that you want to set as a trigger to pop up the animation on the target object.
Trigger and target object can be the same or different, depending on the situations that you want.
Once you’re done, choose Add Interactivity, and click Animation.
6. Here, you can find the Playback mode that you can set based on your preference. You can set up how you want the animation to play. There are 3 options here:
Looping: Your animation will go on from A to B, and then go on repeat.
Once: Your animation will play only once.
Ping pong: Your animation will go on from A to B, and B to A, and then keeps going on.
7. To make it easier for you, you can name the animation and choose which object to be animated.
And not to forget—this is the most important one—you can choose the animation that you want to play among all the available options.
8. For the advanced settings, you can choose when the animation will start right from clicking the object, as well as the animation speed.
Once you’re done, click Apply!
