Here comes your most requested feature *drum rolls*. Yes, the Audio feature is now up on Assemblr Studio! Practically, you can say goodbye to the old days when you have to import audio files from YouTube. You're free to insert any audio that you want—or feel free to choose from our audio library for free.
Basically, you can import two different audio types: background music (BGM) and sound effects (SFX). These two are different in terms of their functions.
If you import audio files as a BGM, they will either be played along a scene or an entire project. However, if you want to include some sound effects like laughter, machine, robotics, dialogs, or any other, SFX will be the perfect choice.
Another interesting info is that SFX can be inserted on a certain object and also be played using Interactivity commands!
That said, you can set the duration of the SFX as well as the order of how it will appear. It’s gonna be more fun—especially if you insert storytelling elements into your AR projects!
To use the feature, simply follow these steps:
1. Open Assemblr Studio on your browser.
2. Head to your existing projects or create again from scratch.
3. On the Editor, choose Audio.
4. Import any audio files of your choice (supported formats: MP3, WAV, and OGG), and choose whether to import them as BGM or SFX. Alternatively, you can also choose from our audio library!
P.S. If you choose SFX, you need to do further settings as you will have to associate the sound with a certain object. For this one, you have to make use of Interactivity features.
Just click on an object that you want to insert the sound with > Add Interactivity > Sound Effect, and select the sound. You can also set the duration and the starting time!
5. All done! Your sound will be played right away!
