Catch on the latest updates and insights about the Assemblr ecosystem, immersive technology, and EdTech industry—all in one site.
On 5 June 2023, during the Apple WWDC 2023 keynote, Apple made a significant announcement about its first-ever spatial computer, Apple Vision Pro.
The news shook the world—including us as Apple geeks—as it’s been one of the most long-awaited news coming from the company. And on a wider scale, it set an even higher bar for what an AR or VR headset should be.
The device blends the physical and digital worlds as one in a super seamless experience. You can simply wear it and enjoy all its immersive features—only by navigating with your hands, eyes, and voice.
This allows you to work collaboratively, learn, have a meeting, or even watch your favorite movies by awakening your senses. It’s really that good—and we’re dying to have it as soon as possible.
According to Apple, it also comes with groundbreaking features—such as a 3D camera, a specified OS called visionOS, EyeSight (which makes the lenses transparent when someone’s around you or opaque when you’re fully immersed), a custom micro-OLED display system that contains even more pixels than a 4K TV in each lens, and dual-chip powerful performances.
Today, we might only see a sneak peek of Apple Vision Pro, but it’s set to be released early next year. The official website has put the cost starting around $3,499, and if it’s converted to Indonesian rupiah (IDR), it’s gonna cost around IDR 52 million.
What makes us more excited about the announcement is that the device also supports Unity! If you don’t know, it’s the engine we’ve been using to build our 3D/AR viewer on Assemblr Studio mobile app.

Personally, we’ve continuously kept our eyes on this breakthrough, and we’re thrilled to see it finally come to life—especially coming from Apple. Hearing all the great news (not to mention that it also supports Unity 🥳) sounds more than great to us.
We've had the path laid before us. And it's our time to work on it. We see the possibilities are coming closer to us—and we believe we can jump in soon enough.
It might not be now, but just imagine if you can create your own immersive contents on the Assemblr ecosystem with Apple Vision Pro—only by dragging and dropping the objects around you with your hands. Won’t that be fascinating?
Not to forget, you can also see them present around you right away. Learning about the human body or organs, interacting with life-like animals, or even presenting your 3D/AR visualizations will get much better with it.
So in the end, it all comes down to one question. Are you excited to be a part of it? Will you wait until the day comes? 🥳
